Thanks to all of you who went to the polls for the primary election. Over 97,000 ballots were cast in
the Republican Primary. As an uncontested primary, down-ballot candidate, Russell Roden received almost
51,000 votes! In the 2006 Republican Primary, about 39,000 total ballots were cast and Russell received 21,782 votes as an
uncontested primary, down-ballot candidate. That's an increase of approximately 30,000 votes for an uncontested, down-ballot
race!
Of course, with over 97,000 total votes cast, it is apparent that those voting at the top of the ticket need to remember to
go "down ballot" and vote for Russell Roden.
